The Choir
History
We know that there has been a strong choral tradition at All Hallows for over 70 years and that there was a robed choir of men, ladies and young children in the mid 1950's.
Initially choristers sat in the front rows, pulpit side, but in 1953 the beautiful choir stalls were installed and have been used ever since.
General
The choir regularly leads the singing at all Eucharist services as well as other Festival services throughout the year. When requested, at weddings and funerals, we come together with the choir of St Peter's Church,
We are a friendly group and enjoy singing together. We would be very happy to welcome new singers.
Choir Practice
We meet for an hour at 5.30pm on Fridays but with a break during January and August.
Contact Mary James, Choir Leader, on 01285 238013.
